EVALUATION CRITERIA

BHG has an established record of success in understanding the specialized needs and challenges faced by seed, early-stage and later-stage companies, in selecting the entrepreneur, the technology, and the opportunity while displaying an undying commitment to and temperament for working closely with entrepreneurs.

BHG utilizes a three step screening process for the evaluation of any potential entrepreneur, company or project. BHG's focus is to build successful companies through a hands on approach that involves initial analysis, due diligence and proof of concept research. Determining the present value of a company is extremely important when charting a strategy for growth. Recognizing the strong and weak areas of the company becomes the basis for improving and adding the missing pieces. BHG views a company as a puzzle and strives to put the pieces of the puzzle together through the value added investment of time and resources.

  • Phase One: An evaluation of all the critical elements of the start up and assessing the viability of each element. The purpose of phase one is to create a Ground Zero Report outlining in detail the current status of the company.
  • Phase Two : A business forecast of the growth potential of the concept based on the strength of the business plan and vision of the entrepreneur. Detailed analysis is necessary to understand the business model and identify potential within the market for maximum expansion.
  • Phase Three: An assessment of the size of the financing needed and the return on that financing based on a defined exit strategy.
